What You Should Expect To Get In A Manicure/Pedicure

Manicure (Procedures)

As you may have already guessed, standard manicure usually begins with basic cleaning of your finger, followed by trimming/filling your nails under a nail dust collector machine and thereafter, your nails will be soaked in Manicure bowl to soften the skin.

Followed by pushing back your cuticles (that’s if they’ve overgrown) with either a cuticle pusher or orange stick.

Your nail tech will then apply the coat of your favourite colour ( upon request) and end it with a top coat for a lasting manicure.

All of these is usually done while you’re comfortably seated on a Manicure chair with your hands resting comfortably on a Manicure table and in a well-lighted room.

Note: Don’t allow your nail tech to apply some coloured polish directly on your nails (especially if it’s your natural nails) which is usually difficult to clean. Let them start by applying a base coat, followed by your favourite colour and it should end with a topcoat.

Pedicure (Procedures)

In a standard pedicure, comfort is everything so you’ll be well seated on a large chair (pedicure chair) and your feet will be put to rest on a small tub where your feet will be cleaned and soaked in warm water to prepare them for what is to come.

After soaking, you may get a light massage (depending on the salon and package you opt-in for) followed by clipping your toenails and then sharpening them to prevent rough edges.

Your nail technician will then use a pumice stone or foot file to file away dry skin or calluses followed by adding nail polish to your nails (that’s if you requested for it)

Upon application, press the acrylic to your natural nails for 3-5 seconds to allow it to dry. Do that for the rest of your nails.

8. Get The Acrylic Materials Ready

Empty a small quantity of the liquid acrylic into a dish, pour the powder on a separate dish. Dip the nail brush on the dish containing the liquid acrylic, ensure they are no bubbles thereafter, dip the brush into the other dish containing the powder and brush them over your nails.
