It is indeed a privilege to have with us today, a friend and a colleague. Her name is Olamide, but I prefer calling her “Ola.” She is going to tell us are nail journey or stories so far and what motivated her to join the Nail Gang community

Can you please tell us your name, your country, and your profession?

Hello, I’m Olamide, a Nigerian who is currently serving and a Businesswoman

Ma, could you please tell us what motivated you towards growing your nails? A short story won’t be a bad idea, ma.

Well, there isn’t any motivation whatsoever. I’m that kind of a person that like my nails to be long but not too long. Medium-long precisely.

Ma, could you please tell us how long you’ve been growing your nails?

Hmmm, I can’t remember when exactly but all I know is that I’ve been growing my nails since childhood. Although I seldomly trim them short once, I notice a chip on one nail.

Ma, what are some of the natural supplements or ingredients you’ve been using to grow your nails?

Nothing really. They grow on their own. Although I heard applying coconut oil with a little bit of moisturizing can lengthen them a little bit that I haven’t really given a try.

Ma, can you please share with us some challenges you’ve encountered while growing your nails?

Hmmm, challenges? Well, the only issue I had when I first started to grow my nails was when I was in school. I got several strokes (lol) that my buttock was now looking like speed bumps. Apart from that, none for now.

How where you able to face those challenges, ma?

Well, as far back as I can remember, the only thing I was doing then was to skip going to the assembly ground.

Ma, what advice do you have for those passing through similar challenges? and those coming up?

My advice for those who want to grow and keep nails is simple. If you’re not up to the task, please don’t keep nails.

Ma, can you tell us your nail care routine? What you do to your nails when you woke up?

My nail care routine is straightforward. I do clean them with water and soap every day to prevent it from been dirty — especially when taking my bath.

On nail discrimination, what do you have to say ma?

Discrimination? Hmmm well, I don’t care about what people or the society are saying about my nails because to me, keeping nails is a personal decision and it shouldn’t be anyone’s business.

More also, growing nails to a reasonable length (let’s say up to 3 mm ) makes your hand looks pretty.

Are you feeling inspired already? Why not share your natural nail growth journey with us just like Olamide? To share, shoot us a mail  @
